| Crossware™ |
| CrossWare is an application that provides file manipulation and data sharing capabilities between DOS, host and mainframe systems and Windows-based shipping solutions offered by UPS, the global leader in shipping technology. |
| Originally developed as an added bonus for UPS WorldShip®, CrossWare now has the capability to eliminate many of the labor-intensive tasks associated with sharing information between applications. Data is transferred instantaneously from your host system into UPS WorldShip. CrossWare offers you a shortened integration schedule when compared to other similar solutions. |
| The data interchange between UPS Worldship, other Windows- based applications and terminal emulator screens is accomplished by utilizing a common feature of Windows-based systems, the Clipboard. Data is copied, or “scraped,” from the source application and placed into another application or file. This provides you with a simple and convenient way to make screen displayed information “useful data” in situations where data transfer betweeen two separate systems is difficult to set up. |
| Customization. CrossWare offers you the ability to print reports, labels and shipping documentation designed to meet your needs. |
| Labels. CrossWare can print customized labels that offer additional elements not found on standard UPS WorldShip labels. |
| Backup Capability. CrossWare allows real-time backup and historical lookup operations to expedite shipping data recovery in case of system failure. |
| CrossWare runs in the background of Microsoft Windows until a user event, such as a mouse click or a specific time, occurs. CrossWare can then execute a predefined action. CrossWare supports twelve “hot keys” for use to perform multiple tasks. CrossWare offers you the ability to change shipping information to conform to your business rules. |
