| Vendor Packaging Program |
| Damages from inadequate packaging can have a significant impact on a company’s bottom line. Packaging that is designed specifically for a palletized distribution channel may not be adequate when introduced into a small package environment. Unfortunately, many distributors do not always have control over the packaging, especially when stocking a high number of SKU’s coming from multiple suppliers. Over-packing and double -boxing become a necessary and expensive means to avoid damage. |
| To gain control and hold suppliers more accountable for providing adequate packaging for small parcel shipping, Customer Solutions has developed the Vendor Packaging Compliance Program (VPC). |
| partnership program designed to work with manufacturers and suppliers to get changes made where they should be made – upstream, at the point of manufacturing. Package performance testing is the only true means to assure that damages can be avoided through the use of efficient and effective packing materials and packing methods. |
